Azkids2teens spearheaded a safe teen driving program. Car crashes is the number one killer of teens in America today. Prompted by the death of seven Scottsdale high school students in a 13 month period, azkids2teens started an awareness campaign focusing on safe teen driving. The program was formally introduced through a holiday event with local driving schools. Demonstrations with computer simulators were used and students were tested on their ability to drive a golf cart while wearing googles simulating the affects of alcohol.

In 2004 azkids2teens sponsored a statewide "Stayin' Alive" commercial video contest on safe teen driving. Co-sponsored by the Phoenix Film Festival, azkids2teens held its first annual film festival showcasing thirty entries from teenagers from around the valley. The film festival included Suzy Vulaca (American Idol finalist and Arizona winner), and film director Sam Pillsbury (Free Willy 3). Actor and new film maker, Rick Shroeder, gave the introductory video clip to the commercials. The students did a fantastic job on their commercials addressing drunk driving, seatbelts, and distractions. Since car crashes remain the number one killer of Arizona teens, azkids2teens will continue with various safe teen driving programs. See Arizona Teen Driver and the arts for more information.
